Finished Panic by Lauren Oliver

Finished Panic by Lauren Oliver
Completed 4/5
3.5 of 5 stars

Panic is a dangerous game being played out in rural New York. In Panic, graduating seniors can choose to participate for a prize money pool. The tasks increase in difficulty, weeding out those who don't want to, or are unable to, complete the next task.

I mostly enjoyed Panic. The game itself was fantastic, it was different and enjoyable. It wasn't on a big scale like something like Hunger Games, it was just small crazy stunts that any one could (but shouldn't) do. It was low profile, done in secret.

The main thing I didn't like about the book was the characters. Heather and Dodge were OK, others were horrible. Here's a spoiler about who I didn't like, don't read if you plan to read the book. There's no info, but you might not want to know who I hated because you might not feel the same way about them.

It was an enjoyable read. I'd recommend it to fans of books like Divergent, Hunger Games, Maze Runner. Similar types of reads, this was just more "real" and doable.

  1. I was thinking of reading this book. And isn't Goodreads awesome? I am never without a book because of that site.
