Bout of Books ~ The End :(

I don't want it to end!! But, sadly the end is here. :(

How did everyone do? Did you meet your goals? Surpass them? Enjoy your week? Did you have fun, or did you get stressed out too much?

I loved the week and had tons of fun! :) I surpassed my first goal by a ton and even my 2nd goal as well. I am grateful to my Husband who takes wonderful care of us, so that I am able to sit around and read all week. :) It was such fun. I read a ton, visited a lot of blogs and did most of the challenges.

Here is everything that I did for the week ~ in reverse order. :) And here is my original Join & Goal Post for Bout of Books, also with all my stats.

First my combined stats ~
  • I completed 4 BoB RaT Challenges
  • I read for 47 Hours
  • I completed 17 books
  • I read 4796 pages
  • I completed 7 novels, 2 novellas & 1 short story on my Kindle Fire
  • I listened to 7 novella audiobooks (the Lemony Snicket series)

  1. WOW! You read heaps! That's awesome! I think I need to start listening to audiobooks. I tried once but was put off by the narration. I'll have to give it a go again. Do you recommend any with good narration?

    1. Jim Dale is the best narrator I have heard. He does The Night Circus (best book EVER, if you haven't read it) and the Harry Potters, plus others. I recently looked into celebrity readings, which I have enjoyed. Brendan Frasier does the Inkheart series (get a program that can speed him up though, he's SLOOOOW, like he wants to put you to sleep) and Tim Curry does 10 of the Series of Unfortunate Events.

    2. Cool, thanks! Jim Dale also narrates Pushing Daisies! He's a major part of the reason I love the show. I'm so excited to hear he narrates books! Definitely going to give one of his books a listen :)

  3. Wow, 17 books, that's amazing! Ooh, and I didn't know Tim Curry did the Unfortunate Events audiobooks, I love him!

I had fun, but admit I could have been more social; I didn't visit a lot of blogs. That's something I'd like to be better in next time! I did manage to take part in a couple of challenges, though.

    1. Yeah, I discovered Tim did the books so that's why I decided to listen to them. I expected him to be more wild, he's quite subdued but still enjoyable. I hope you get to be more social next time. After reading, visiting blogs was my favorite part!

    1. I liked it a lot. Wasn't my favorite thing ever, but it was a good read. My only complaint was it ended rather abruptly I though, but overall a good read!

    1. It's definitely easier to do with no responsibilities. It was just me and the dog during the day when hubby was at work, then when he was here at night, I'd listen to audiobooks when I was cooking or he was doing other things. :)

    1. Thanks! :) I read so many because I had nothing else going on. I'm stuck here, so I read all the week when Hubby was at work and read when he was here some as well. Just a lot of time on my hands. :)

  18. Wow o_o 17 books! Amazing job :D How did you like The Eyre Affair and Dorothy Must Die?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Thanks! I didn't really like the Eyre Affair, because I've never read any of the books they spoke about. I think anyone that is a fan of any of those reads would like it. I enjoyed Dorothy Must Die, though it had a very slow start for me and didn't get good until half way through it.
