Mid-Event Survey
1. What are you reading right now?
Nothing! I just finished up my 4th book (see below) and haven't started my next one. Haven't decided if I'm going back to audiobook, which if I do I'll go with Chaos in Death, or more likely go back to Kindle books until my eye get tired, in that case, no clue what I'll be reading!!
2. How many books have you read so far?
Four! See below for what I've finished.
3. What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon?
No clue. Not the In Death novellas, which have just been ok for me. Dunno what I'm going to go with on my Kindle. Haven't decided yet.
4. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those?
Yes, and no. My hubby is home with me and we can never go very long without talking to each other. So, we're doing our own thing ~ him watching horror movies, and now watching his Florida State game, and me reading but we'll talk to each other often. So it's interruptions but I don't mind 'em. :)
5. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far?
Nothing really. I was surprised last night when I got our cheerleading list, I thought there would be more cheerleaders than there are. Other than that, nothing's surprised me. I'm just reading and cheering and having a good time! :) Disappointed in all the photo challenge. I guess I understand, people like seeing photos. I don't do photos of myselfnor do I have a camera. I love doing challenges, so I hate missing out, but they haven't been my thing, for the most part. LOVED the "name your read-a-thon" one!!

Challenge 9 ~ I have no book to show off. I've only ever had one book signed. It was the first Kingdom Keepers book, signed at WDW by Ridley. I lent it to a former friend, and never got it back. One of the reasons for "former". She has my HPs too. :(
Challenge 10 ~ Skipping this one, not feeling too original for a cheer.
Challenge 11 ~ I'm not a recipe person. I've only really started cooking, more than basic things, in the past few years. I'm still not really good. A Reese's Dessert Bar is in the works right now. I REALLY hope it turns out well!!
Challenge 12 ~ I recommended Dear Killer, since it's the only book I've read of the ones she listed.
Challenge 13 ~ skipping (don't know most those books)
Challenge 14 ~ skipping (ah no ~ on the cosplay & photos!)

ReplyDeleteI'm another no-photos person. I always feel like a bit of a weirdo about it when picture challenges come up, but ah well..it's how I am. I've pretty much always been this way and don't imagine I'll suddenly start enjoying being photographed anytime soon. I have a small handful of pictures of myself that my family has insisted on or surreptitiously snapped at various points, and I just rely on a recent iteration I can abide if I absolutely must put a face to my name for some reason.

As for the read-a-thon - You look to be making great progress! I hope you're loving your reads.

ReplyDeleteYou're doing such an awesome job!! And if there is a feedback post, definitely bring up the picture thing. There might be others who are the same. I love taking pictures--it was actually the first time I shared a picture of myself on my blog (years ago)--but I can understand the hesitation/difficulties. ANYWAY--Happy readathon!!!!

ReplyDeleteAs usual, you're kicking this thing's butt! I'm with you on not taking pictures of myself, but I love taking pics of other things to post on Instagram. Plus, I just like seeing what everyone else has. I'm a little bit of a stalker in that way... ;) I'm just making the rounds to comment on everyone, so I have two more of your posts to go. I'm sure I'll be impressed by where your numbers ended up...you always do an amazing job!
