Back 2 Books ~ Pre-Event Questionnaire

Everyone ready for the Read-a-Thon? When I came up with this RaT, my reading had seriously plummeted from my gaming, but after I came up with it, I seemed to have found a good groove of gaming and reading. I wanted to do this RaT because I was lacking in reading, but also because I'm in another team challenge at GoodReads, so I thought this would get a good start on the challenge with me getting a bunch of books in.

Two days ago we posted about our GOALS ~ if you have them. Now it's time for a bit of pre-event questions. Some of my favorite things about read-a-thons is the interaction between bloggers. I know there's only a few of you here, I'll never get the numbers that Dewey's or Bout of Books get, but I want to know YOU all especially, because you ARE here with me, joining in. Thanks for that! So, here's a few fun questions for you, before you get started. Link up in the comments below, or answer the questions there, if you don't want to do a separate post.

01 ~ What part of the world are you reading from today?
02 ~ Do making goals help you with read-a-thons, or does it stress you out?
03 ~ Do you plan out your stack, or are you a "fly-by-er", choosing books at random?
04 ~ Do you find it hard or easy to name your all time favorite books?
05 ~ What are your top 5 favorite books, as of this moment?
06 ~ What book have you read lately that has stayed with you? (either good or bad)
07 ~ What's been your favorite book you've read so far in 2015?
08 ~ What 2015 book release are you looking forward to the most?
09 ~ Do you have a go-to genre? What is it?
10 ~ If you could be reading anywhere in the world, where would you most want to be?

Look forward to hearing your answers and having you all join in the Read-a-Thon tomorrow.

01 ~ What part of the world are you reading from today?
  • North Carolina
02 ~ Do making goals help you with read-a-thons, or does it stress you out?
  • I prefer to make goals, it helps keeps me focused on reading. I don't worry about if I meet my goals or not, I just have fun and do what I can.
03 ~ Do you plan out your stack, or are you a "fly-by-er", choosing books at random?
  • I'm definitely a "fly-by-er". I can not make a list ahead of time. When I make a list, I usually don't end up reading those books.
04 ~ Do you find it hard or easy to name your all time favorite books?
  • I find it easy. I have my favorites, and while a new one might come in and take over, my favorites are easy for me to list at any given time.
05 ~ What are your top 5 favorite books, as of this moment?
06 ~ What book have you read lately that has stayed with you? (either good or bad)
  • As to not have the same answer as below, I'll say The Game by Terry Schott. Alone the book was really good, but with the other books in the series, it's absolutely fantastic. I'm still working my way through the 4th book, but I have loved it all so far, it's GREAT!
07 ~ What's been your favorite book you've read so far in 2015?
  • Definitely The Martian by Andy Weir, it was fantastic. I'm so glad I finally decided to read it, and I ended up staying up all night to listen to it. It was wonderful!
08 ~ What 2015 book release are you looking forward to the most?
09 ~ Do you have a go-to genre? What is it?
  • Mystery & Suspense is still my go-to genre, though I pretty much read just about anything now.
10 ~ If you could be reading anywhere in the world, where would you most want to be?
  • If I could be anywhere, I'd say I'd love to have a book and be lounging in the Playboy pool at the Palms in Vegas. I LOVE Vegas, and if I could be anywhere, this looks like paradise!
