Journey of a Gaming PC ~ Part 2 ~ Waiting is torture!

Does anyone else hate waiting on things as much as I do? I know you do, don't fib! :)

My stuff is taking FOREVER to get here. Of course the "holiday" tomorrow isn't helping. But neither did my graphics card seemingly driving round Charlotte in circles for a day. Initially, it had been scheduled to arrive yesterday (the 14th) and it was "in transit" around Charlotte so long they updated the arrival to Tuesday, because of the "holiday". UGH!! I'm not a holiday person, if you haven't guessed, less so for ones that don't mean anything. Let's celebrate long gone dead people, yay. (I really need a sarcasm sign, like Sheldon.)

Anyways, so it's been TORTURE waiting on my parts. :) Ok, not really, but still, it seems like it. I look at my pretty case, and I want to turn it on and play with it. But my main two parts are still on the way, one arriving tomorrow and the other arriving Tues. With the processor arriving tomorrow, I'll likely get it all together (finally!) and get everything installed and just put the graphics card in when it does arrive. That way it can at least be up and running and getting everything on there and updated, since that will take time.

I'm so excited! It's kept me distracted all week! I've been doing the "Love of Books" read-a-thon but totally haven't been up to my usual reading-ness. I'll only meet my lower (for me) goals if I finish up this last book I'm on now. I'm at 46%, so I just gotta stick with it and not let computer stuff keep me away from it!! Clue #2 on the name of my build ~ it's from my all time FAVORITE book. This blog, and the computer, both have the Black, White and Red color scheme from that book (minus the white for the computer). The name of the computer won't be the title of the book, but comes from the book. Any guesses? :)

Check back Monday (probably) where I'll have some photos are talk about starting to build it. This is the first time I've ever built my own PC, so I'm super excited. Hopefully everything goes smoothly!!
