Blame it all on Shaina & Elle! Each tagged me with an award, and Elle decided to make a project of the tags by Shaina and I. She posted her last bit of tagging today, the one set of questions I didn't answer, so I figured why not ~ I'll go ahead and throw my answers into the mix. It's not like you all don't know a crapton of stuff about me anyways. :)
1. How tall are you?
- 5'9 ~ unless I've started shrinking :)
2. Do you have a hidden talent?
- Nope, not a one. I'm boring like that. :/
3. What's your favorite song?
- One of mine and my Hubby's many many songs, I guess. We have like 30, or more, songs that are special to us. We've got the two from High School ~ Power of Love & Can't Fight This Feeling. We have a TON from when we got "back" together ~ Austin, Anymore, Love Led Us Here, The Real Me (every love song by Clay Aiken really), Bless the Broken Road, How the River Feels...... Songs since then ~ Fucking Perfect, Whataya Want From Me, Halo, 1+1..... I guess I can't pick just one. If I had to pick the most perfect of perfect songs for us, the ONE song that is ours, I would have to say "The Real Me" by Clay Aiken. If you asked my Hubby, He's probably say Fucking Perfect by Pink. I'll have to ask. :)
The Real Me
by Clay Aiken
Foolish heart looks like we're here again
Same old game of plastic smile, don't let anybody in
Hiding my heartache, will this glass house break?
How much will they take before I'm empty?
Do I let it show, does anybody know?
But you see the real me hiding in my skin, broken from within
Reveal me completely, I'm loosening my grasp
No need to hold back my frailty 'cause you see the real me
Painted on, life is behind a mask, self-inflicted circus clown
I'm tired of the song and dance, living a charade, always on parade
What a mess I've made of my existence
But you love me even now and still I see somehow
That you see the real me hiding in my skin, broken from within
Reveal me completely, I'm loosening my grasp
No need to hold back my frailty, oh 'cause you see the real me
Shadows are shattered dreams, they follow me they've haunted me
But you've taken the broken pieces of my life and helped me to believe
'Cause you see the real me hiding in my skin, broken from within
Reveal me completely, I'm loosening my grasp
No need to hold back my frailty, oh 'cause you see the real me
4. What's your favorite way to spend your free time when you're alone?
- Reading or playing video games! I'm hopelessly addicted to Watch Dogs right now!
5. What's your favorite junk food?
- Oreos! Or Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, or Reese's Spread. Lofthouse Cookies! So much junk! Hence, needing to loose weight!! :)
6. If you could drink one beverage for the rest of your life, what would it be?
- Definitely Mountain Dew! For as much as I drink, it should be running through my veins. :)
7. What's your favorite movie?
- The Mummy & The Mummy Returns!! I LOOOOOOVE those movies!!
8. PC or Mac?
- PC! Definitely PC, especially Widget, my new Gaming PC
9. Favorite celeb?
- Right now, I guess I'd have to go with Skylar Astin. He plays Jesse on the Pitch Perfect movies, was Brody on Ground Floor (which is probably being canceled) and not only is he extremely beautiful, he has a voice to die for. OMG it's beautiful! Liquid sex! :)
10. What got you into blogging?
- I started as a place to post my monthly reading logs for a swap at Swap-Bot. It grew from there. It'll never be huge and it's just mainly be with my thoughts and a few faithful followers (thank you for that) and I'm fine with it that way. :)
11. What are your Top 5 Stuck on a Desert Island books?
- The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, Prisoner of Azkaban by JKR, Ready Player One by Ernest Cline, The Great Zoo of China by Matthew Reilly & Redshirts by John Scalzi ~ all light hearted books that would put a smile on my face.
12. How many bookmarks do you own, and do you have a favorite?
- How many do I own that I use? None. How many do I have? Um, less than 10. Those I received in various swaps. I don't have a favorite, since I don't use them (I only read on my Kindle). If I read any "real" books and used them, I'd probably like the one that someone made for me with my name on it.
13. Tea or coffee? Or, is there another beverage you prefer to drink when you're reading?
- Neither of those, YUCK! Unless you are talking Sweet Iced Tea, then I drink that. Mainly my drink of choice is Mt Dew, or a Kickstart Fruit Punch Mt Dew. :)
14. What are your essential items, besides books of course, for a great reading experience?
- Nada. Just need a book! During the winter I sit in my recliner with a blanket. During the summer I just sit here in my recliner. Snacks or a drink are nice, but not essential. Just need a good book and if I'm REALLY REALLY into it ~ no disturbances. If I'm REALLY into a book, I'll usually ask my Hubby to leave me be for a while, otherwise, He always distracts me!
15. Do you listen to music when you read, or do you prefer silence?
- Prefer silence, BUT with a snoring dog (damn thing) I'll sometimes turn on some music on my headphones so I don't have to hear her. Also, the neighbors get way too loud sometimes (we're in a stupid duplex, that we hate ~ well, just because of the neighbors) so I'll put on music to drown them out. My main thing when I'm really into my books is to put on an instrumental Disney playlist on Spotify.
16. Do you prefer hardcovers, Trade/Mass Market paperbacks, or ebooks?
- ebooks, all the way!! I LOVE my Kindle. I originally had a Kindle Keyboard that I was quite fond of, but when it broke the last time and they weren't going to replace it, they gave me a GREAT deal on an older Kindle Fire. It was only $70 and I LOVE it. It's always right next to me. It's probably been YEARS since I read a "real" book.
17. What is your favorite TV or movie adaptation?
- I'll have to agree with Elle and go with Harry Potter.
18. What fictional world do you want to live in, or would avoid at all costs?
- I'm sure everyone knows by now that I would LOVE to live within The Night Circus. I just want to dive it and exist only in that world!! I'd love to work in the circus, perhaps as a ticket taker, and explore it during my times off! Just like I did with WDW! :) The world I'd avoid would be Lord of the Rings. I'm not into the whole swords and stuff.
19. If you could have any supernatural or magical power/gift, skill, or object, what would it be?
- I'm not sure. The ability to right a wrong? I guess that not really a skill. Invisibility I guess then.
20. Where or from who do you get most of your book recommendations?
- Definitely GoodReads. I'm always going onto my recommendations there and finding a bunch. Only my friend Kym can successfully recommend something to me. Unlike Elle, I RARELY find anything through other bloggers, because they are all reading the same things it seems. I find the occasional thing here and there, but it's really rare. I usually find stuff on my own.
There ya go. More of me than you ever wanted to know, again. :)

Ha! Sucked you right in. Awesome. And...hey...we aren't 100% opposite of one another. Wonders will never cease. I picked Night Circus for my fictional world and Prisoner of Azkaban is my favorite of the Harry Potter books. :)
